Pink SHERO® was founded in 2021 by Erica Tucker, a woman whose personal experience with cancer revealed a need that goes far beyond medical treatment.
We believe that no one should have to navigate cancer feeling unseen, unheard, or alone. Our mission is to support individuals and families affected by cancer through compassion, encouragement, advocacy, meaningful connections, and practical acts of care.
We care for the parts of cancer that medicine can't.

My Story Didn't End With My Diagnosis
In 2019, I discovered a lump in my breast. I was initially told it wasn't cancer, but something didn't feel right. I trusted that feeling and continued seeking answers.
In 2020, I was diagnosed with Stage 2B Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer.
At that time, I was a mother, a wife, and a working professional. Suddenly, I was also a woman trying to understand what cancer meant for my health, my family, my future, and my sense of self.
I went through chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation while continuing to work, care for my family, and hold on to some sense of normalcy. My life was changing in ways I could not always explain, even to the people closest to me.
I had people who loved me. I had support. But there were still moments when I felt incredibly alone.
Cancer affects more than your body. It changes how you think, how you see yourself, how you experience relationships, and how safe you feel planning for tomorrow. There are fears and emotional burdens that do not always have a place in medical conversations.
That loneliness became part of the reason I founded Pink SHERO in 2021.
But my journey was far from over.
In 2023, cancer spread to my brain. In December of that year, I underwent my first craniotomy.
In 2024, I faced another brain metastasis and underwent a second craniotomy.
There were moments when I questioned what my future would look like. Moments when I was exhausted from having to be strong. Moments when surviving and truly living felt like two different things.
Through every diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and recovery, I kept coming back to one truth:
No one should have to carry the emotional weight of cancer alone.
Pink SHERO® was born from my experience, but it was never meant to be only about me. I can recall continuously hearing God's voice telling me it's bigger than me.
It is about the person sitting in a chemotherapy chair wondering whether anyone understands. It is about the parent trying to stay strong for their children. It is about the survivor learning how to live without constantly fearing what comes next. It is about the parent trying to stay strong for their children. It is about the family members supporting someone they love while navigating their own fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion.
I know those feelings because I have lived many of them.
My journey has included a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, recurrence, brain metastases (2xs), two craniotomies, recovery, and the ongoing work of learning how to embrace life again.
Cancer changed my story, but it did not take away my purpose.
Today, I use what I have experienced to help create the support I needed along the way. Pink SHERO® is my way of reminding people affected by cancer that their experiences matter, their feelings are valid, and they should never have to face this journey alone.

Why Pink SHERO® Exists
Cancer care involves more than appointments, treatments, and test results.
It also involves emotional struggles, financial pressures, family responsibilities, changes in identity, and moments of fear that may not always have a place in medical conversations.
Pink SHERO® exists to help bridge that gap.
Through FIGHT Care Packages, encouragement, community outreach, and advocacy, we remind individuals and families affected by cancer that they are seen, supported, and worthy of compassion throughout every part of the journey.
